Loudline privacy policy
Last updated 2026-10-08
Loudline is a teleprompter for iPhone and iPad that follows your voice. It has no account, no ads and no server of its own. This page says what stays on your device and the one thing that leaves it.
Who is responsible
Loudline is made by Binventor in Da Nang, Vietnam. Thoai Ngo looks after your data here — write to hello@binventor.com.
The short version
Your scripts, your voice and your takes stay on your device and we cannot see them. The only thing that leaves it is the record of a purchase or a free trial, and that record carries no name and no email address.
What stays on your device
Scripts: the title and text of every script you paste or type.
Takes: each recording is written as a video file in Loudline's own storage. With Save to Photos on, Loudline adds the finished video to your photo library. Photos only keeps video, so an audio-only take, or any take while Save to Photos is off, stays in Loudline.
Your settings: scroll mode, voice language, text size, mirror, countdown and Save to Photos, plus whether you have used your free take.
Everything in Loudline's own storage is gone when you uninstall the app. Videos in your photo library stay there until you delete them.
What your device does on its own
Following your voice. While you record, the microphone audio goes to the speech engine built into iOS, which turns it into text on your device. Loudline matches that text to your script to know where you are. No audio and no text is sent to us or to Apple for this.
Speech models. The first time you record in a language, iOS may download Apple's speech model for it. That download is between your device and Apple, under Apple's terms.
Pasting a script. Loudline reads the clipboard only when you tap a Paste button, and iOS asks you first.
The trial reminder. If you start a free trial and allow notifications, Loudline asks iOS to show one reminder two days before the trial ends. The reminder is scheduled on your device; no server sends it.
Backups. If iCloud Backup is on, your device may include Loudline's data in its backup. That copy lives in your Apple Account, under Apple's terms, and we cannot read it.
The one thing that leaves your device
Loudline Pro is sold as a yearly or monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Apple takes the payment. We never see your card, your name or your address.
To know that you have a trial or a plan, and to let you restore it on another device, we use RevenueCat, Inc. as our service provider. When the app opens and when you start a trial, buy or restore, RevenueCat receives a random ID created on your device, the App Store receipt and the purchase details (product, price, currency, dates and store country), and what every internet request carries: IP address, device model, and system and app version.
RevenueCat uses this to confirm the purchase, and shows us totals such as how many people started a trial or subscribed, and in which countries. It is not tied to your name or email, it is not used for advertising, and it does not follow you across other apps. RevenueCat handles it only on our instructions and protects it at least as well as this policy does. RevenueCat's own policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Why we may do this
We keep the purchase record because you bought something from us, or started a trial, and we have to deliver it, including after you change devices. We look at the sales totals on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the business. Everything that stays on your device never reaches us, so we do not process it at all.
Where the data goes
RevenueCat is in the United States, so a purchase record made in Europe leaves Europe. Our agreement with RevenueCat includes the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which is what makes the transfer lawful. Nobody else receives anything, and nothing is sold.
What Loudline does not do
No account, no sign-in and no profile. No advertising and no advertising ID. No usage analytics and no crash reporting. No location, contacts or health data. It never reads your photo library, and it keeps no recording of your voice apart from the takes you make.
Permissions
Camera: the front camera shows you behind your script and records the take.
Microphone: records the sound of the take and lets your script follow your voice.
Photos: add only, to save finished takes. Loudline cannot see what is already in your library.
Notifications: asked right after you start a free trial, only for the reminder before it ends.
iOS asks for the camera, the microphone and Photos before your first take. Loudline needs the camera and the microphone to record; you can refuse the others and still record.
How long we keep it
Data on your device: until you delete it or uninstall the app.
The purchase record: for as long as you might want to restore your plan. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it or object to how we use it. Write to hello@binventor.com and we will answer within 30 days. Asking costs nothing.
Loudline has no account, so we find a purchase by its order number. Apple puts an Order ID on the receipt email. Send us that and we can find and delete the record.
Deleting it does not take away what you bought. Apple still has the purchase, and restoring it in Loudline creates a new record from your App Store receipt.
If you are in the EU or the UK and you think we handled your data badly, you may also complain to your national data protection authority. In Brazil you can complain to the ANPD, and in Japan to the Personal Information Protection Commission.
Children
Loudline is a recording tool for a general audience. It is not aimed at children under 13, it asks no one's age, and it collects no personal data about the person recording. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to hello@binventor.com and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we update the date at the top of the page. If a change matters, we also say so in the app's release notes.
